Best Photography Spots 📸

1. Highland Park (Dağüstü Park) 🌅

Best Time: Sunset (Golden Hour)

What to Shoot:

  • Panoramic view of the bay, Flame Towers, and city skyline.
  • The Alley of Martyrs.

Tip: Arrive 30 min before sunset for the best light.


2. Flame Towers (From Below) 🔥

Best Time: Blue Hour (just after sunset)

Where to Stand:

  • Seaside Boulevard (looking up).
  • Funicular stairs.

Tip: The towers light up with animated flames after dark.


3. Old City (Icherisheher) 🏰

Best Time: Early morning (8-10 AM) or late afternoon (4-6 PM)

Drone Photography 🚁

The Rules:

Drones are HEAVILY RESTRICTED in Azerbaijan.

  • Permit Required: You need official permission from the State Civil Aviation Administration.
  • Airport Confiscation: If you bring a drone without a permit, it will be confiscated at the airport and held until you leave.
  • Fines: Flying without a permit can result in fines or arrest.
